Malmö, Sweden-based hydration pack and apparel innovator USWE Sports is opening its first retail concept storefront in the USA, the USWE Sports Giant Loop Adventure Shop. Powersports packing systems company Giant Loop was acquired last year by USWE Sports, and the company’s warehouse now serves as the USA base of operations for both brands.
To celebrate the first USWE Sports concept store — and the re-opening of the Giant Loop Adventure Shop, which has been closed since the March 2020 — the brands are hosting an open house on Wednesday, July 12, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The new concept warehouse showroom is located in USWE’s and Giant Loop’s shared headquarters, 63025 OB Riley Road, Suite 6 in Bend.
In additional to showcasing USWE Sports apparel and packs and the Giant Loop adventure motorcycle and overland packing systems all in one place for the first time, the Adventure Shop will offer giveaways, prizes, special pricing and complimentary beverages and snacks.
Giveaways include a free USWE hat and a free limited edition USWE/Giant Loop moto jersey for the first customers in the Adventure Shop (while supplies last, limited to stock on hand).
Customers will be able to try on and purchase USWE Sports hydration packs and backpacks, as well as USWE’s new performance clothing for motorcycling, mountain biking and running. Motorcyclists are invited to ride to the Adventure Shop for help test fitting Giant Loop’s expedition-ready packing systems.

ABOUT USWE SPORTS
“USWE” (pronounced YOU-Swee) is Swedish slang for “kick ass.” The company is highly regarded for its “No Dancing Monkey” patented harness technology and hydration backpack, waist belt and vest designs for high impact action sports, such as trail running, mountain biking, Nordic skiing and off-road motorcycling.
The team behind USWE grew up riding off-road motorcycles in the Swedish countryside. Out of frustration with backpack designs of the day, the founders purchased a used industrial sewing machine in 2007 and began creating their own designs — a story that parallels the creation and development of Giant Loop, which started in Bend in 2008.
