“There are so many little details that I appreciate more things about this bag every time I use it. Even the harness zipper has a little holder, so it doesn’t unzip itself while riding the bumpy stuff. And it’s made in the USA!”
Diablo Tank Bag™
The Diablo delivers six liters of rider-friendly on-bike storage by following Giant Loop’s strict design objectives to build minimalist, slim and trim tank bags that seamlessly integrate with the motorcycle. Even when standing on the footpegs while riding off-road, the Diablo never gets in the way thanks to its unique size, shape, and mounting position behind the gas cap using our secure universal harness mounting system.
Fuel fills are a breeze with the Diablo: unzip the tank bag from the harness for quick and easy fuel access. Add to that, electronics pass-throughs integrated throughout each compartment, a full-length interior lining with hook-and-loop-accepting fabric compatible with many camera bag dividers, and included waterproof Giant Loop Tank Bag Dry Pod; the result is a bulletproof adventure-ready tank bag.

The bag can be partially unzipped from the harness to access fuel fill or completely removed and carried by the handle.
Photographers love the Diablo tank bag because of the interior’s hook-and-loop material that is compatible with many camera bag dividers, and for ease of access to the bag while seated on the motorcycle.
Combine the Diablo with Giant Loop Pannier Pockets™ and Zigzag Handlebar Bag™ for even more on-the-trail storage volume.

Love this tank bag. There’s a zipper catch on the left side that keeps the zipper from unzipping. It works well. You can partially unzip the bag and it will flip out of the way so you can get to the fuel cap. You can also fully remove the bag if you’re heading into a restaurant on your ride and don’t people running off with the bag and contents. The straps will remain behind and it’s as hard to re-attach the bag as it is to zip up a jacket. if you live somewhere warm, I would think twice about leaving a phone in the clear top of the bag. The sun and heat from charging your phone while in there (you can route power into that pocket) may cause it to overheat. That clear top pocket is really better for a paper map or turn list.
The walls of the bag are nice an thick and really protect whatever you have in there. There is a moveable ‘wall’ of the padding material that you can move, so the bag really has two internal chambers. That will keep your phone from smashing into your point and shoot camera in the bag during the turns.
All in all, the bag is a solid piece of luggage. I haven’t taken it through the rain, but I’m confident it’ll protect pretty well but they give you a water tight bag to put your stuff in to be sure.

The bag is fantastic! I really like the hidden pocket under the bag, great place to keep registration and insurance without them getting torn up.
I added the two side bags as well. They hold quite a bit as well.

Very nice fitment on my KTM 1090 adventure. I like being able to zip it off to the side for the gas cap really easy. Super nice build quality

This is my second GL tank bag, I had the Fandango on a previous bike that was sold with the bike. They have definitely beefed up the construction of these bags. The construction seems to be pretty much indestructible. The YKK zippers are easy to operate and very good quality. For a bag that holds all my essentials, it is low profile and doesn’t get in the way while standing. Also, it’s easy to unzip 2/3 and flip out of the way for fuel tank access. There are so many well thought out features to this piece of gear, I haven’t even put all of them to use yet. I’m looking forward to having this on many adventures to come!

I am very impressed with the quality of this tank bag and happy that this was the one that I settled on for my adventures. It is the perfect size for the gear that I need to keep close at hand and small enough that it’s not in the way when maneuvering technical sections. I’ve not tested it in a full downpour yet but I’m confident that it will shed water and protect my equipment. I appreciate all the thought that went into the design such as the adjustable interior, the large zippers that work well, all the pockets, and it even comes with a zippered dry bag for added protection. Very pleased.
Diablo Tank Bag is perfect for my WR250R. Looks great. Works great. Very happy with my purchase.

I’ve recently purchased and been using the Diablo Tank Bag and the Zigzag Handlebar Bag on my Tenere 700. They both have been great and the high quality is evident! The easy access to the gas cap with the tank bag is a big plus… just a quick half-zip around and the bag folds out of the way for access to the tank cap. The diablo is a great size and stays out of the way when standing off road. I have the zigzag bag mounted to the crash bar for some tool storage that is out of the way and placed down low. Very happy with both products from Giant Loop!
I just installed the Diablo tank bag and I am very impressed with the construction and the ruggedness of the materials. It also looks great, especially in grey! The Diablo tank bag is a very well thought-out piece of luggage! Love it!
I researched quite a few tank bags for my KTM 1090, and landed on the Giant Loop Diablo for its superior design and fit on the bike (check out Revzilla’s review). The bag is incredibly well made and thought out. I love that I can easily unzip it half-way at the base to access my fuel fill, or fully-unzip to remove it from the bike. The pockets are great, especially the secret document holder, and I appreciate the webbing for small item storage on the velcro divider. The bag is big enough to hold my 20oz water bottle and more, but small enough where I don’t notice it while riding. The quality alone has impressed me enough to continue choosing Giant Loop for my luggage needs.

I got this bag for my 2016 Suzuki DR-Z400SM, and I love it. It was pretty easy to install, and it doesn’t get in the way when I am riding. I love that you can easily remove the bag from the harness. I am also impressed with the overall quality of the materials.

I love the new design of the Diablo tank bag. I’ve been using it for about six months now mounted on a Yamaha Tenere 700 and it fits the bike perfectly with plenty of room for me to stand up and not be in the way. The zipper design is much improved from the first generation, getting rid of a double zipper to just a single zipper. I have also had it in a pretty decent rainstorm without any leaks and that’s without using the included dry bag! Great product and I highly recommend.
I spent many hours on the web researching reviews and videos before I purchased the Diablo tank bag. The deal maker for me was having easy access to the gas cap on my ‘2022 KLR 650. It was not the least expensive option, but the 10 percent discount code and the free shipping sweetened the deal. I am impressed with the quality of the materials and zippers used. The construction of the tank bag is definitely top notch. Installation of the strapping system was straight forward and has been very secure on the trails. It’s also a great looking tank bag. I’m a believer in Giant Loop products.
After 60 years of riding I have some experience with motorcycle gear. As with all other products I have gotten from GL this tank bag was of the highest quality. It took me only 15 minutes to install the tank bag on a less than common motorcycle. It is also very easy to access the gas cap which is essential at some point if you plan to ride anywhere. The design is such that I believe that this tank bag would fit on any motorcycle easily. I know it would fit on any of the many I have now.
Perfect fit for my CRF 300 L, and also my Tenere 700. Very easy and secure installation. The material is not too hard and not too soft, so it perfectly stays in shape while being flexible enough to take rough off-road abuse. Most important, you do not at all notice the tankbag while riding. The zipper to access the tank is strong and works flawlessly, much better and easier to handle than to handle a tankbag attached with buckles. The only downside for me is the map/smartphone pocket on top, I would have preferred a molle panel on the top to attach additional stuff – but this is more a personal preference rather a downside. The price is quit high, but the quality and the easy handling is worth it – strong recommendation!
Look. It’s rare that a company actually stands behind its products. I am actually stunned. I am a huge enthusiast and worked in the motorcycle industry for 20+ years. I received a Diablo tank bag for Christmas about 4 years ago. This bag has been on several bikes and a pillar to my riding kit in each scenario. I have taken care of the bag (it’s expensive). This last year it developed problem with the zipper pulling out from where it is sown in. A simple inquiry with a responsive representative Like What are my options for repair etc….. The answer! Just send it back and we will send you a new one completely free of charge…. =Mind blown. No bullshit-no blah blah blah. wow. Thank you . See now I am a representative and promoter even more than I was before. Well done giant loop
Everything looks good in a picture but after spending a week in the Blueridge between Mountainview Motorcycle Campground in
Elk Park NC and Willeville Motorcycle Campground in Meadows of Dan Va this tankbag exceeded all my expectations Built solid, quality is everywhere, waterproof, & the zip off feature for refueling is the icing on a already great cake. it ain’t cheap but think of it as a investment, you will be well rewarded
I like the way this bag does not get in my way and holds a lot of stuff on my DRZ . This bag does not Slide around on the tank , it fits good .
