The Buckin’ Roll Tank Bag has a universal design that fits almost any dirt bike, snow bike, enduro, dual sport, adventure, or street motorcycle make and model, offering a better fit than conventional tank bag designs, especially motorcycles with steep seat fronts or tall fuel fills.

With its three-point mounting system, the Buckin’ Roll harness attaches with webbing straps on both sides of the motorcycle and around the steering tube. Strap tails can be tucked away under elastic loops on the harness.
Giant Loop recommends using Vinyl Protective Film where tank bag makes direct contact with body panels and plastics to protect surfaces against scuffing or marks.

Thank you Giant Loop! This is the perfect size, I can now carry those extra items that I often leave behind and still have room to move around on the bike while riding as needed.

  2. Mike Chesney

This is a really useful product. It has enough room for your phone, tire patch kit, tire irons (short) and various other necessities. Love it!

  3. Jared Pinkerton

I can’t say enough about this tank bag, the best thing since sliced bread, the cats meow…Thank you Giant Loop, this has totally changed my opinion about having a tank bag on my enduro/dirt bike. Just enough room to carry those things normally in my pockets or pack making it much easier to access them during the ride and never getting in my way even during the most knarly of technical single track.

Buckin’Roll Tank Bag: Super nice product, perfect fit for my
KTM 300 XCW! Only wish GL made a series of wearable packs/hydration?

  5. Gorongo

2019 HQV FE501 Buckin roll not too big, not too small. Perfect fit and high utility without getting in the way when riding gets aggressive. I didn’t even know it was there until I needed to grab a snack or my phone for photos. The way the phone gets velcroed (new word?) in keeps the face visible (but not while riding) and touch screen usable through the clear plastic window! It is waterproof as far as I can tell…but haven’t tried it in a torrential downpour…and don’t plan to. Simple simple to install or remove. After riding in Sierra dust I would cover the cable hole in the front to keep out the dust. Here’s what was in my kit: iPhone X, Anker power block, Kind bars, Clif shot blocks, Leatherman micra, 15ft poly cord, lens cloth, with room to spare. Highly recommend.

  6. Allison Ranalli

Great little tank bag I love it…although the top where the phone sits might be waterproof the bag itself is not

  7. Cory Walters

This bag is great! Especially for someone who doesn’t want a Saddlebag, this is a great alternative. The fit is great and it was able to hold all my small tools and take the weight out of my backpack. Rode on tight single track and tight rocky sections and did not get in the way at all. Great investment!

  8. Cole K

Love this bag! Perfect size for day rides. Gonna buy another for the snow bike too.

  9. Keith Frazier

I’m no GL fan boy, I buy the best moto luggage for the application and I can honestly say this is far and away the best tank bag I’ve found for my 500 EXC. I was running a Pico before this arrived, but it takes up too much seat space. The Buckin’ Role allows me to get further forward when I need to but still offers excellent storage. Love this thing!

  10. Matthew Hedges

If you’re like I was–waffling between this and the Mosko Pico–the extra half liter tips the scales to this guy. The slight extra size gets you 50% more capacity but really doesn’t take up more surface area. It sits perfectly on the KTM EXC (with 15L Acerbis tank) like it was an OEM product. Giving 5-stars for anything is against my nature–but I can’t find anything negative about this little guy. Harold, you earned all the stars on this one.

  11. ThumperTalk

I ride in a climate that is warm pretty much year around, so my riding gear is typically lightweight, vented and lacks storage for trail essentials. I’ve also been riding with my cell phone mounted to the handlebar using an RAM X-Grip, but for a few reasons, I wasn’t completely happy with this set-up. Recently Giant Loop introduced their Buckin’ Roll Tank Bag and they asked me if I had any interest in giving one a shot. After their reassurance that it wouldn’t flop around in even the nastiest of Florida sand whoops, I decided to give one a go.

    How Does It Mount?

The Buckin’ Roll Tank Bag is a universal fitment using nylon straps and friction buckles. It fit my 2019 KTM 350XC-F very well in just a few minutes. The straps are extra long, so once I was happy with the routing that I chose, I trimmed the excess and singed the cut ends with a lighter to keep them from fraying. Not being a fan of loose straps flopping in the wind, I appreciate that the lower mounting harness has elastic loops to secure them. The main bag zips onto the lower mounting harness, so the ends of the straps are sandwiched between the two. Clean & tidy, just the way my OCD likes it. This also means that the main bag can be zipped off if you go into, say a restaurant or convenience store when dual sporting or to clean it. It even has a built-in wrist strap if you need to keep your hands free while carrying it.

    How Much Does It Hold?

The Buckin’ Roll Tank Bag is on the small side, but that’s exactly what I wanted (dimensions). It’s been ideal to securely stow my Samsung Galaxy S7, truck keys, wallet, trail side snacks, a few smaller tools and some zip-ties without being stuffed. I could easily add in an extra pair of gloves or similar. It’s more for those that want to carry trail essentials and also have quick access to them without removing gear such as a hydration pack with cargo pockets. That’s a pain when you also wear a chest protector that integrates with a neck brace. Unzipping the main compartment with gloves on is easy thanks to… more @ https://thumpertalk.com/reviews/product/46613-giant-loop-buckin-roll-tank-bag/

I have been using the Bunkin Roll Tank Bag for a couple of months and having only great things to say about it. The bag is a perfect fit on my bike’s oversized tank and quality is first rate. I will definitely be purchasing more Giant Loop products. Awesome product!

  13. jbrocksc

Simple, size, easy on and off all that is needed for quick access on the trail. Mounted on KTM 500 EXC does not get in the way for aggressive single track riding and you can’t overpack !
Great addition to my lightweight overnight camp set up.

  14. dab94134

A perfect fit on my XR650R, There is NO OTHER bag that comes close to fitting my Baja Tank. The ease of use and convenience of having small snacks, water and little essentials in the Desert is without parallel! The bag also fits on my other bikes so its no where near just a one hit wonder! Solid work from the folks up in Bend.

  15. adikalev

Great addition for my KTM 500. The only thing is that there is no way to operate the phone while it’s in the case. I guess the cover is too thick.

  16. davefunck

This little tank bag with ZigZag Handlebar bag is perfect for daily rides. Tank bag does not interfere when I scoot up for turns.

  17. David Spear

Needs a revision. The dimensions of the bag and the mounting system are perfect for a dual sport. The bag itself is somewhat awkward to use, lacks water resistance, and doesn’t hold it’s shape well. Would gladly buy another if the design was updated.

  18. Trenton Marsh

Love this bag. I bought for my EXC 500 where it fits well with my IMS tank, but it’s a bit too small for my camera batteries plus other necessities. I’ll move it over to my YZ 250 for all day singletrack rides. Am sure it will be perfect there. Will upgrade to a diablo tank bag for my 500. Only reason for a 4 star is the bag sometimes collapses while zipping it open/closed. Not a big deal tho, I use some zipper lube to make it easier.

  19. Aaron Giddings

It’s ok. Needs updating. It’s hard to close. It’s not that dry even in light fog. It fits well, it looks cool. It serves its purposes for holding exactly what I need.

  20. Jim P.

Fits my Husqvarna 701 very well. Totally out of the way standing or sitting. No exposed buckles to interfere with the riders legs. The harness zipper works surprisingly well and is easy align when zipping the bag back onto the harness. The power pass-through opening is handy. Easily fits my wallet, registration, power bank, charging cables, ear plugs and snack bars with room to spare.

A small gap forms where the two top flap zipper-pulls come together. This gap can allows rain water into the bag when both zipper pulls are all the way to the left (from the rider’s perspective) and the bike is parked on its side stand. In this position the bike is tipped slightly to the left and rain water flows down the surface of bag and finds it’s way into the bag through the zipper-pull hole. I wish there was an inner flap behind the zipper like there appears to be on the Fandango and Diablo tank bags.

Additionally it would be nice if the webbing used for the steering-neck tether was not sewed to the harness on one end but rather used a buckle on both ends. This would allowing for easy replacement.

Knowing what i know I would purchase it gain.

Love this little tank bag! Just the right size for me. When we travel, I add the pannier pockets. Integrates nicely. Very light and I think waterproof. It has been bombproof. In fact, I have two!

  22. bradmarilynkaiser

I have just gotten back into offroad riding, ( after a 35 year break ). This tank bag is perfect and looks great on my Beta 300. It’s great for small parts, gloves and snacks. The phone compartment works great also with the cord pass-through.
Also purchased the GL tail rack and I’m impressed with the quality and functionality.

  23. Guy Lauriault

My new handlebar bag for my R1250GS! I managed to used the tank strapping setup to make a very clean install on my 2019 R1250GS.. and solved the issue of GS owners that cant find a good sized handlebar bag for the GS… very happy. I will gladly sent picks of how to mount this as a handlebar bag.. not mods required.. and it fits perfectly…
