The mounting straps are too close together to work on my Husky. They sit right where the handlebar clamps are, and they aren't nearly as long as they show in description. The bag is now in my crap bin until I find a use for it elsewhere, or get tired of seeing it and toss it out.
This duffel bagis very well built and has become my reliable partner on my rides. I have completed 900 Kms of ride in rain and heat, with this dry bag and it sits perfect once fastened.
Packing and unpacking is also easy👍.
Definitely would recommend this product to anyone interested.
Pre-drilled holes in the plastic panels did not match the hole pattern in the aluminum frame. They were off by approximately 2mm. I used the frame as a drill guide to correct them. This of course results in an obround hole, but at least the screws can be passed through. Next, it rather time consuming to transfer the holes into the soft bags. Overall not satisfied with the assembly time required. Completed, the system mounts and dismounts nicely with the KTM frames on my 890. They look durable and water proof. That is yet to be proven.
Picking up the bag from FedEx was very difficult, but of course that is not Giant Loop's fault. What disappointed me was the workmanship and stitching quality in the upper section of the bag. If I didn't need the bag, I would have considered returning it. Other than that, the bag is nice.
I have only been using this for a short time but so far it seems to not be visibly leaking. I do smell the odor of gas when I handle it, but can see no leak. The lid fits tight with no leaks. It has handles on it that make it easy to move around. I am using this on my UTV in lieu of a hard can and it is perfect for my need. It fits into a small space. The material it is made from seems pretty durable.
Good build quality, however, mounting system isn't flexible enough. Unable to move it back and forth between my KTM an Honda.
This is my second one. Expect it will be incredibly useful, just like the first one. Which somehow I lost track of.
The canteen was of great use on a moto/ Camping trip around the Olympic peninsula WA
The tail rack pack is a great solution for carrying those extra items. I like that it’s zipperless and easy to open. It’s made of sturdy materials which I thought would make it waterproof. The design of the bag allows water to get in to a total of 6 openings. The straps run through 4 openings in the bottom of the bag and the top two corners leave a half inch gap open to water.
Worked great, as described. This is 100% needed if putting a Mojave pack on a KTM EXC500. The hooks the Mojave pack come with won't work on the stock rear fender.
I really like this tank bag. It’s tough and puts up with the awful abuse that it receives. I keep buying them. Easier to have one for each bike
This is my first venture into the adv world. Learned about Giant Loop from Dork in the Road and decided to try it. Bag is really well built and straps down securely. I’ll definitely be buying more GL products.
Spacious, light, and super tough.....all the things I want in a pannier. These bags are large enough with the built in side pockets to hold my entire camping kit, tools and clothes for BDR style trips. No need for a big top bag/box as it all fits in the Panniers. I have mine mounted with the Giant Loop Quick Release Brackets to Outback Motortech's pannier racks, and I think it's probably the best mounting system out there. Quick on and off, no ugly remaining parts left on the bike, and still lockable to the bike. The latest version has two buckles over the top in stead of three and thats an improvement. The forward facing side pockets with drawstring closures are handy for stashing a big water bottle and or coffee mug. Also, a great place to put your camp shoes. The rear pockets are plenty big and completely water/dust tight with the roll top closure.
Great improvement from my previous setup. Just got back from a 5 day motocamping trip and two of us had these in the group. Super convenient and well designed.
They are awesome. Quality is great and they have lots of room for my motorcycle camping stuff. I like all the loops that allow me to strap everything securely. Come's with the waterproof liners...thats all plus.
Have a bunch of the Pronghorn straps and always carry them on both my bikes. They constantly come in handy and solve avariety of problems.
