“I’m seventy-one and recently achieved a new personal best as a motorcyclist. I completed the longest off-road motorcycle event in my 50-plus years, the BDR (Backcountry Discovery Routes) Middle Atlantic Off Road Ride. It started in Tennessee and ended in New York traversing 1,248 of some of the most majestic miles I’ve ever ridden. We had to cover over 200 miles a day for six days averaging 8-plus hours of riding time each day and faced more than one event ending challenges. To make sure that this was not just pure luck, we took on the Pennsylvania Wilds 700 Invitational just one month later. It’s another off road event traversing 738 miles in four days.
