Dust to Dawson Gathering Success

The Dust 2 Dawson Motorcycle Ride (Not a Rally!) is an annual event which invites motorcycle enthusiasts from across the world to get together and celebrate in Dawson City, Yukon.

Since 1992, old friends and new have been getting together over a common bond: motorcycles. The D2D weekend consists of motorcycle games on unpaved streets of Dawson, a poker run in the historic goldfields, and a banquet full of delicious food, crisp Canadian beer, and a whole lot of fun!

“Because Dawson City is located at the junction of three iconic highways: the Top of the World/Taylor Highways, the North Klondike Highway and the Dempster Highway, you’ll have plenty of options to do some epic riding.”

Check out their Facebook page to get information on next year’s D2D ride.

Giant Loop is proud to have donated to this event which benefits the Dawson Shelter Society, the Dawson Women’s Shelter,  the Healthy Babies, Healthy Moms program, and the Dawson City Fire Fighter Association.

By | Riders, Yamaha | No Comments

We were working away packing orders and doing office work, when there was a knock at the door. Solana, a college instructor and Xterra race winner enjoying her first enduro bike, had come by to get some fit questions answered.?She has planned a dual sport ?ride to Canada this summer and needed a packing system for her Yamaha XT250. She had found her used XT250 online, after much searching, and was happy to get a good deal on it. Believing that Giant Loop was the right answer to her packing system questions, she rolled over to visit yesterday.

As the guys got her bike test fitted with a Coyote Saddlebag, Fandango Tank Bag Pro(both in her favorite color ORANGE)and Rogue Dry Bag, she was convinced that she had made the right choice to come to us. Thanks, Solana, for riding Giant Loop!

Giant Loop Video: Canadian Couple Touring on Suzuki DR200 with Coyote Saddlebag

By | Fitment, Riders, Suzuki, Video | No Comments

Nice video from a couple of Giant Loop riders from British Columbia! “Just a short proof of concept trip on the little Suzuki bikes before tackling something adventurous,” as they describe it. We love camping with small motorcycles – this is our origin and roots as a company – so we love to see others discovering the joys of the “go light, go fast, go far” approach to packing a small displacement dual sport motorcycle.
